Sheldon Building | Redmond, OR
A new building, to house an array of business enterprises, was designed for an optometrist with
an enterprising vision. It took shape on a commercial parcel of burgeoning growth in Redmond.
Architectural design services helped development of the owner’s vision to create an attractive,
effective, and eco- intelligent facility for his professional practice as the flagship of the new
building. Several other businesses were soon attracted to the concept as principal tenants. One
of them, offices for the Edward Jones investment services, took the opportunity to have their
office facilities become a significant component of this progressive endeavor. Their special
objectives came to life architecturally as reflected by the handsome entry facade that welcomes
clients to open the door to the reception space for sound planning and wealth management
services, as embodied in its prospering environment. The building was designed by Lawrence
when he was employed for a few years as a senior staff member in the firm of Steele Associates
Architects in Bend OR.
